While I did enjoy Shadow Blade enough to buy Shadow Chase and SC was a satisfying read, I'll be passing on this author in the future. I like authors whose books can sit on my shelf and be re-reads, especially when it's $7.99 a pop. This book will appeal more to the romance reader (though there is a bit romance-light even on that end) but the dyed in the wool fantasy reader will be left with disappointment.
