Many teen novels today are filled with shallow characters who engage in nothing more than drugs, sex, and violence. They are a reflection of our culture at large today. The Pace is a refreshing novel that allows you to read about characters who face real life challenges as well as the supernatural elements found only in a science lab. It makes the reader think about immortality and reincarnation and true love and how the three can become intertwined in the lives of two people. Sophie is a down to Earth young woman who faces life head on. Weston is a young man who every woman would love to meet in her life, a man who truly loves with all of his heart. The ending will leave you wanting more and will have you counting down the days until the next novel is available. This is a book that I highly recommend.
