This book had a slow start but picked up in action toward the middle. I didn't read the first book in this series, but the author set the story with enough background that it was easy to follow. The only part that bothered me about this book was Cody's relationship with his girlfriend Ileana. It seemed that his feelings for her were not as deep as he wanted them to be. Overall, for young fans of paranormal books, this book gives a little twist on the traditional vampire tale and is worth a quick read.
